March Meeting: Building Commissioning (Joint Meeting with SMACNA)

Following in the LEED themed presentations, this month building commissioning will be covered. Building commissioning is an important part of receiving LEED certification. It is required at a basic level to even be considered as a LEED project. More extensive commissioning can earn an extra point.

This month's meeting will be a joint meeting between our ASHRAE chapter and SMACNA. Bob Hostinsky, the apprentice coordinator from Portage Indiana Sheet Metal Workers Local 20, will be presenting on this very important topic.

The meeting will be held at the testing and balancing training and testing facility in Portage. As such, this will be joint meeting for the South Bend and Calumet sections this month. There will be no cost for this meeting as the SMW Local 20 will be providing the facilities and food. Please, come join us this month for what should be great presentation and tour of this training facility.
