Mechanical Design Engineer

Growing consulting firm is looking for a mechanical engineer for their Madison, WI office. The engineer will design mechanical systems for the industrial processing plants. The individual will be responsible for designing all building mechanical components including industrial utility systems such as food grade wash down type HVAC systems. The ideal individual should be familiar with some of the following: aluminum piping, stainless steel, steam, center plants and compressed air systems. The candidate will work as part of a team working on preparing plans and specifications in addition to making construction site inspections.
Requirements:
Bachelors in Mechanical Engineer
5-15 years of related experience.
Licensed Professional Engineer
Prior experience in the food, dairy and/or industrial processing plant industry.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the food or dairy industry but any candidate with industrial processing plant experience will be considered.
Experience working with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software.
Experience working with ASHRAE standards and codes.
LEED AP preferred.
