Variable Refrigerant Systems
This month there will be a presentation on variable refrigerant systems. Eric Veit, Commercial Sales Manager at Mitsubishi Electric’s Advanced HVAC Products Division will be presenting. Mr. Veit graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and has worked in the HVAC industry since 2002. Having worked with Mitsubishi Electric since 2006, he has focused his efforts on increasing industry awareness of variable refrigerant flow (VRF) and facilitating programs which teach operation principles & best practices for the design of variable refrigerant flow (VRF) systems.

Ok, sorry for asking a naive question but what does ASHRAE stand for? I added this blog to my NW Indiana blogs RSS group ... should get you more views too. But when i did a quick look I couldn't find the acronym definition. Looks like energy related or HVAC?

ASHRAE stands for the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers. The national society web page has more information. Yes we are energy related. ASHRAE, along with the IES, developed the standard that is the bases for energy codes. And, yes, we are HVAC related (obviously from what our name stands for). We are the local chapter that represent the national society. Our chapter covers the northern part of Indiana from the Illinois border to South Bend. We try to have monthly meetings in South Bend and the Calumet area.
